AeQuum launches 'Queer Essentials', a cycle of LGBTQIA+ films, with a monthly session, selected by José Jesus, with the aim of exploring and celebrating narratives that challenge, inspire and promote diversity.
The second in this cycle of films selected by José Jesus will be the feature film The Maid by famous South Korean director Park Chan-wook.
In Korea in the 1930s, during the period of Japanese occupation, a girl, Sookee, is hired as a maid to a Japanese heiress, Hideko, who leads an isolated life on a huge rural estate alongside a domineering uncle, Kouzuki.
