About us
The aeQuum Association is a non-profit organization, founded in 2021 (Faro, Portugal), focused on promoting the rights and inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community, through social and cultural projects, as well as various health and counseling services, available at our Triangle Center.
Our association is made up of a group of people, of different ages and professionals in different areas, who have come together to promote social diversity and support the success of the LGBTQIA+ community in their life challenges.

Meet the Team
Christoph Seibold
President of the Board
Christoph found his second home in the beautiful sunny Algarve and Faro as the perfect place to start an LGBT+ getaway, a vision he had for over a decade. Professionally, as a lawyer, he wants to contribute to equal opportunities, so that everyone can find their way in life and society. As a passionate yogi, he believes that every thought, word and action in our lives can contribute to everyone's happiness and freedom.
Max Spencer-Dohner
Vice President of the Board
Max is one of Portugal's leading activists, focusing on the fight for gay marriage and LGBTIphobia work. Professionally, he works as a lawyer at the firm MDM Legal. He is currently doing a master's degree in Sociology at the University of Algarve. On a personal level, he has his own podcast about politics - "Triangulation of the Circle" - and loves everything to do with aviation.
João Duarte
Member of the Board
João believes that every individual should be encouraged to defend human rights whenever possible. Professionally, he is 100% dedicated to aequum and focuses on the administration of the association and its projects. He has already acquired extensive experience working for lgbti+ associations in the fields of health, social affairs and human resources management. Personally, he is involved in other projects, especially in the areas of creative writing and the founding of free artistic collectives.
Gonçalo Bila
Secretary of the General Assembly/
Communications Officer
Gonçalo is currently studying sociology at the University of Algarve and has a degree in film directing. He is a fan of beat literature and is tirelessly curious about queer history - an area in which he hopes to specialize during his future studies. He is convinced that the work of the aequum will foster the community spirit that is essential to the current movement and concerns us all.
Alexandre Bally
Secretary of the Supervisory Board
Alexandre currently lives and works in Switzerland and has his second home in the Algarve. He is particularly concerned that older LGBTI+ people receive more attentive and loving care. Professionally, he rose to become an IT team leader at an international cruise line: "Viking". He believes that people can always explore their potential and always have the opportunity to learn new skills to contribute to a more stable and better future.
Cheila Venusa
Supervisory Board Writer
Its main values are environmental sustainability and the LGBT+ cause. Professionally, cheila is a businesswoman, social media manager and photographer. He graduated in artistic production from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. Personally, he is currently building his own "tiny house" and sharing his experiences and ecologically sustainable lifestyle online.
Cristina Galrito
Member of the Board
Cristina is a born humanitarian who is always there when needed and is always involved in new things. She is active in animal welfare associations and has supported elderly people during the years she lived in São Brás Alportel. Cristina feels that it is important to contribute to the fight for equality and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people. Professionally, she works in the real estate industry, where she discovered her talent for remodeling homes. Love, rebuild and do sport - that's his way of life.
